eg was a global campaign started in 2016 until the global pandemic in 2020 to create communities of early-stage entrepreneurs united in a common purpose to see business as a force for good.
Now that many parts of the world are starting to manage COVID-19, we want to seize the opportunity to nurture a new generation of purpose-led businesses.
We haven’t got our head in the clouds when it comes to doing good. We get entrepreneurs: you’re busy, have bills to pay and you just want to focus on making your business a success. That’s why entrepreneurial giving (eg) isn’t just about ‘giving’. Purpose links to profit. We believe (and have research to prove) that entrepreneurial giving and entrepreneurial success go hand in hand.
We have developed two ground breaking ways to support your business do well and do good, building on the decades of international expertise of the YPO (Young Presidents Organisation):
By convening egForums – cohesive groups of 10 entrepreneurs and one experienced facilitator, who meet every month or two to learn together from each other’s successes and mistakes.
By asking you to pledge to donate a percentage of your exit proceeds to charity.
eg is a great way to grow as a business leader and to demonstrate to your staff and customers that you ‘walk the talk’ when it comes to doing good.
While we have started egForums in the UK and USA, we are always keen to hear from entrepreneurs wherever you are in the world. For more information, please visit the eg website here.
