INSPIRATION
Max Ostro, the man responsible for the legacy of the Ostro collection, began his journey to pursue the most exquisite stones in the 1960’s. This was a journey that took him to the most remote areas of the globe, in search of gems of outstanding beauty.
We oversee the exploration, mining, processing and marketing of Blue Topaz from some of the world’s finest gemstones deposits and we do so responsibly and transparently. In everything we do we work collaboratively; pioneering a new exciting frontier where exploration, mining, processing and ethics all meet.
Today the company is based in London and run by Maurice and Michael, his son and grandson. Together, father and son carry on the Ostro family legacy of passion and appreciation for these most exquisite coloured gemstones.
The collection boasts the world’s largest known, deep blue coloured topaz gemstone. It weighs 9,391 carats and is known as The Ostro Stone and this remarkable gem has been donated to the Natural History Museum in London.
